Organisor | Trade Mission Carsharing | Gent, Belgium

A group of 20 Dutch delegates - cities and a province, car brands, rental brand, car sharing platforms, consultants - traveled to Ghent, Belgium for a two day program. The trip was taken in shared cars with delegates sharing the ride together. In Ghent we toured past car sharing operators and mobility stations by bike and ended at the city hall for a presentation of city officials, followed by a celebration in honour of Ghent’s 10.000th car sharer. The day ended with a networking dinner with representatives of the relevant local mobility ecosystem and of course some local beer tasting. The second day was filled with presentations of different local concepts and closed with a network lunch. It was a sunny, inspiring and fruitful trade mission.
